  GOVERNANCE

  Our Goal is to re-establish Good Governance in the public sector.

      Our Objective

    To effect those reforms necessary in the public sector which will not only achieve economic progress and social stability but also a highly disciplined Public Service fostered by the practices of good governance.

    Major Policy Thrusts :

  1. Introduce necessary legislative and administrative measures to enhance accountability of the officers holding public office.
  2. Establish mechanisms for healthy consultation with appropriate stakeholders in the policy making processes.
  3. Introduce a “Code of Ethics for public servants” to improve quality of service delivery through self motivation.
  4. Introduce necessary legislative and administrative reforms /measures to promote public private partnership in commercial operations.
  5. Redesign the “Performance appraisal method for public officers” to reflect/ relate achievements with targets/results.
  6. Recognize local government as autonomous bodies, accountable to their people and strengthen them, by giving them adequate manpower, financial, and decision-making powers.
  7. Strengthening training capacity in order to re-train public officers to take up new challenges.
