Our
Goal is to re-establish Good Governance in the public sector.
Our
Objective
To effect those reforms necessary in the public sector which will not only achieve economic progress and social stability but also a highly disciplined Public Service fostered by the practices of good governance.
Major Policy Thrusts :
- Introduce necessary legislative and administrative measures to enhance accountability of the officers holding public office.
- Establish mechanisms for healthy consultation with appropriate stakeholders in the policy making processes.
- Introduce a “Code of Ethics for public servants” to improve quality of service delivery through self motivation.
- Introduce necessary legislative and administrative reforms /measures to promote public private partnership in commercial operations.
- Redesign the “Performance appraisal method for public officers” to reflect/ relate achievements with targets/results.
- Recognize local government as autonomous bodies, accountable to their people and strengthen them, by giving them adequate manpower, financial, and decision-making powers.
- Strengthening training capacity in order to re-train public officers to take up new challenges.
