- Review the operation of the labour market and its issues
- Review the performance of the Industrial sector and its issues.
- Review the performance of Tourism Development and its issues.
- Coordinate public sector activities with the Chambers to promote
private investment.
- Review the performance of the Science and Technology sector
and its issues.
- Prepare policies and develop strategies pertaining to creation
of employment growth, of industry, promotion of tourism and development
of technology to be used in macro planning activities.
- Implement projects for the development of the private sector
promotion of Employment of youth.
- Promotion of industry, tourism, science & technology and labour
- Prepare the Public Investment Programme for industry, tourism,
labour and science & technology,sectors.
- Maintain the Local Area Network of the Department
