DIPPCA Saturday Program - 2010/June
Closing Date Extended to 10th May 2010


Closing date for the registration for the DIPPCA Saturday Program – 2010/June has been extended to 10th May 2010. The program will commence in early June 2010, and will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A copy of the application and the program brochure could be downloaded from www.ingaf.gov.lk or could be obtained by sending a self addressed stamped envelope to the Director, Institute of Government Accounts & Finance, No.355-3/l, Olcott Mawatha, Colombo 10. Please refer to the advertisement in the "Sunday Observer" dated 21st March, 2010 for more details. Prospective participants are requested to submit their applications directly to The Director - INGAF before 10th May, 2010 with a copy to the Department of Public Finance.

Extension of the Closing Date of Registration of Suppliers, Supply of Goods and Services for the Government Institutions for the Year 2010

Attention is drawn to the notices of Registration of Supplies published on the following news papers,

14th September 2009 "Dinamina"
22nd September 2009 "Daily News"
28th September 2009 "Thinakaran"

The closing date of registration of suppliers for supply of Goods and Services for the year 2010, advertised in the above newspapers is extended upto 15th November 2009.

Registration of Suppliers for supply of Goods and Services under shopping - 2010

The list of registered Suppliers for the year 2009 has been posted in the website www.treasury.gov.lk of Ministry of Finance & Planning and www.pfd.gov.lk of the Department of Public Finance.

It has been decided to expand the Supplier registration process which was initiated as a pilot project in 14 local Government administrative area in Colombo and Gampaha district in 2009, upto all the Government Institutions located in the Western Province.

Accordingly, applications are invited by press notices on 14th September 2009 in Dinamina, 22nd September 2009 in Daily News and September 2009 in 'Thinakaran' from Manufactures, Accredited Agent, Sub Agent, Distributors whole sale/ Retail and service Suppliers.

Applications duly perfected as per the instructions mentioned in aforesaid press notices should be sent to the Director General, Department of Public Finance, Room No. 137, Procurement Management Division, 1st Floor, General Treasury, Colombo 01 marked "Registration of Suppliers - 2010" in the upper left hand corner of the envelop under registered cover on or before 31st October 2009.

The all Government Institution of which internet facilities are not available can obtain these particulars on CD free of charge upon a formal request to Procurement Management Division, Department of Public Finance.

Registration on Suppliers for Goods and services - 2009

With a view to maintain a central database of suppliers & service providers on commonly used goods and services, the Ministry of Finance and Planning called applications from suppliers and service providers within the 14 Local government authorities in Colombo and Gampaha Districts as a pilot project.

However, considering the requests made by prospective business organizations , applications are called again by publishing a paper advertisement on 2nd March, 2009 in "Dinamina" and 9th March, 2009 in "Thinakaran" and "Daily News".

The registered suppliers and service providers are listed under "Goods Category" (G01 to G96) and "Service Category" (S01 to S42) for the use of Government agencies. This data has been published on the websites www.treasury.gov.lk and www.pfd.gov.lk. Details of suppliers registered up to 09th June, 2009 are available as a collection of "Acrobat Reader" files on a CD. Government institutions now can collect a copy of this CD, free of charge upon a formal request made to "Additional Director General, Procurement Management Division, Department of Public Finance". The content of this CD is available for other parties as a downloadable file on the web. This information to be utilized in line with the Procurement Guidelines 2006 & Manual, along with Public Finance Circular Nos 433 & 433(i).
