> The Public Debt Management Office (PDMO) was established on the 02^nd of December 2024, pursuant to the Public Debt Management Act No 33 of 2024 (PDMA) being effective on the 25^th November 2024. (Link)

>PDMO started publishing Statistical Debt Bulletins from December 2024 as mandated by the PDMA. The latest Quarterly Statistical Debt Bulletin was released on 28th February 2025 and contains the public debt statistics for the 4th Quarter of 2024.

> PDMO officially unveiled its First Medium Term Debt Management Strategy for 2025-2029 and the Annual Borrowing Plan for 2025, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s efforts to manage and optimize its public debt.

> An IMF Mission on Investor Relations and Communications Policy was fielded between 17^th and 28^th March 2025.
